On Friday, April 26th, Morton College will host its third annual Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony. The entire college community is invited to join the celebration, along with the families of the Hall of Fame inductees. The ceremony will take place from 6:00 - 10:00 pm at Crystal Sky Banquets, 7941 47th St. in McCook.
"Morton College's Hall of Fame pays tribute and gives lasting recognition to those alumni, faculty, staff, administrators, Board of Trustees, and supporters of the college who have made exceptional contributions," said Blanca Jara, Director of Public Relations and Community Outreach. "We recognize those who have brought honor and distinction to Morton College, and who have continued to demonstrate in their lives the values imparted by their experience."
Honorees include alumni Cyndi Krozel Eukovich (Class of 1979), Dan Jedlicka (Class of 1963), Alice McGee (Class of 1981), Tim Visk (Class of 1977 and a 35-year Morton College employee), and a posthumous recognition for Wayne Belanger (Class of 1977). Alyce Vujtech, a 44-year employee at Morton College, will also be recognized.
Tickets cost $65/person, which includes food and non-alcoholic beverages. A cash bar will be available. "We encourage everyone to purchase their tickets in advance, as we have limited seating," added Jara. "Tickets can be purchased at https://mortoncollegehof2019.eventbrite.com. We hope to have a wonderful turnout, as we have in previous years."
This is a special event for Morton College. "It's been a long time coming in which we honor people that have attended or worked for Morton College and have brought recognition, honor, and distinction to our institution," said Jara. "We are honored to have the inductees join us from different areas of the country to be recognized. Morton College is doing great things for the college community, and we're proud to continue to do so." For more information about Morton College's Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony, please contact:
