DuPage County reports 370 cases Friday, 8 deaths, region's positivity rate drops to 14.6%

The DuPage County Health Department on Friday reported 370 new confirmed and probable cases of COVID-19 in the county, with 8 deaths: 2 men in their 60s, 1 woman in her 80s, 2 men in their 80s, 1 woman in her 90s and 1 man in his 90s.

The county now has seen a total of 36,766 coronavirus cases including 672 deaths, according to the health department. The recovery rate among DuPage County cases as of November 10 was 96.6%.

The West Suburban region (DuPage and Kane counties) has seen six days of positivity increases and three days of hospital admission increases, a decrease in both metrics. The region's positivity rate decreased to 14.6%. Currently, 19% of medical/surgical beds are available and 26% of ICU beds. Within this region, Kane County's seven-day positivity average is at 16.7%, and DuPage County is at 13.5%.

The Illinois Department of Public Health reported 13,012 new confirmed and probable cases of COVID-19 and 126 additional deaths Friday, the third straight day with more than 100 deaths reported.

By town, Wheaton has had 1,881 total cases, Glen Ellyn 1,341, Lombard 1,808, Villa Park 1,082, Hinsdale 579, Westmont 959, Darien 722, Woodridge 1,182, Downers Grove 1,599, Elmhurst 1,849, Warrenville 577 and Winfield 439. Addison has had 2,416 confirmed cases, Naperville 2,986, Carol Stream 1,997 and West Chicago 2,194.

The health department provides further information on its data dashboard for COVID-19-related hospitalizations, deaths, lab positivity and outbreak-associated counts by municipality. This additional information replaces the information that was previously provided daily in this format.
