The DuPage County Health Department on Tuesday reported 101 new cases of COVID-19 in the county, with no deaths.
The county now has seen a total of 22,596 coronavirus cases including 607 deaths, according to the health department. The recovery rate among DuPage County cases as of October 6 was 96.0%.
The West Suburban region (DuPage and Kane counties) has seen six days of positivity increases and eight days of hospital admission increases. The region's positivity rate stayed flat at 9.5%, still well above the state's threshold of 8%. Currently, 29% of medical/surgical beds are available and 43% of ICU beds.
The Illinois Department of Public Health reported 4,000 new confirmed cases of COVID-19 and 46 additional deaths Tuesday.
By town, Wheaton has had 984 total cases, Glen Ellyn 785, Lombard 1,116, Villa Park 665, Hinsdale 408, Westmont 667, Darien 417, Downers Grove 956, Elmhurst 1,174, Warrenville 334 and Winfield 214. Addison has had 1,622 confirmed cases, Naperville 1,718, Carol Stream 1,246 and West Chicago 1,393.
