Missing Woodridge woman found dead in water near east branch of DuPage River

WOODRIDGE - A Woodridge woman missing since Oct. 21 was found dead Saturday in a body of water that connects to the the east branch of the DuPage River, police said.

The body of Julie Lee, 47, was discovered by a search team consisting of Woodridge police, the Lisle-Woodridge Fire Department and the Naperville Police Department Evidence Recovery Unit.

The body of water was located near Lee's home in the Woodridge. Lee was last seen on foot near the 6400 Block of Double Eagle Drive in Woodridge.

She had a medical condition that could have placed her in danger, police said. No further details about her death have been made available.

Woodridge olice are investigating in cooperation with the DuPage County Coroner’s Office.
