The DuPage County Health Department on Tuesday reported 108 new cases of COVID-19 in the county, and one death, a woman in her 80s.
The county now has seen a total of 16,865 coronavirus cases including 550 deaths, according to the health department. The recovery rate among DuPage County cases as of September 15 was 95.5%.
The West Suburban region (DuPage and Kane counties) has seen two days of positivity increases and three days of hospital admission increases. The region's positivity rate stayed the same at 5.5%. Currently, 33% of medical/surgical beds and 42% of ICU beds are available.
The Illinois Department of Public Health on Tuesday reported 1,531 new confirmed cases of COVID-19 and 30 additional deaths.
By town, Wheaton has had 722 total cases, Glen Ellyn 530, Lombard 817, Villa Park 479, Hinsdale 339, Westmont 552, Darien 306, Downers Grove 667, Elmhurst 814, Warrenville 245 and Winfield 152. Addison has had 1,213 confirmed cases, Naperville 1,246, Carol Stream 895 and West Chicago 1,135.
