The district learned of the news March 24. The two individuals diagnosed with COVID-19 were affiliated with Warren Park Elementary School and Abraham Elementary School, the social media post stated.
This news comes on the heels of last week's report, when staff and administration found out that a parent of two students who attend District 99 schools was in contact with an individual who tested positive for COVID-19.
At this time, the newly-diagnosed individuals are following the quarantine guidelines of the Illinois Department of Public Health. All appropriate agencies have been notified, and the district encourages families to continue safety measures, including self-isolating and staying at home.
In an email to Suburban Life, Jacqueline Pisano, the district's media and public relations coordinator, said that she does not have any additional information regarding the recent diagnoses.
