A Plainfield man was arrested after he allegedly exposed himself to unsuspecting women at an apartment building in Romeoville, police said.
On Dec. 22, Jermaine E. Anderson, 41, of the 1400 block of Monticello Circle was arrested by Will County Sheriff's deputies on a felony charge of public indecency, Romeoville police Cmdr. Brant Hromadka said.
The Romeoville police investigated a case where an offender “exposed himself in the vicinity” of unsuspecting women, Hromadka said. Anderson was identified as the suspect after an extensive investigation, he said.
A criminal complaint filed against Anderson alleged he exposed himself to a woman on July 8 at the Remington apartment complex, 525 Fair Meadow Lane, with “intent to arouse or satisfy” his sexual desire.
Anderson was also charged with exposing himself to a woman at the same apartment building on Aug. 28.
Anderson was booked into the Will County jail shortly after 2:30 p.m. Dec. 22 and he was released about three hours later after he posted 10% of his $20,000 bond, according to jail records.
Anderson was charged on Oct. 3 with entering a woman’s apartment in the 100 block of Highpoint Drive for “lewd or unlawful purpose” and looking through a window, a criminal complaint said.
Anderson was allegedly on the front porch of the property and alarmed and disturbed a man who was there, the complaint said.
On Sept. 12, 2014, a DuPage County judge found Anderson guilty of public indecency, court records show.
On Oct. 5, 2010, according to court records, Anderson stood trial and a DuPage County jury found him guilty of public indecency.
