DOWNERS GROVE – A Downers Grove-based nonprofit is looking for donations for students in need.
Until Aug. 12, Hope’s Front Door will collect brand-new school supplies, including backpacks, three-ring binders, pens, pencils, crayons and markers.
Donation baskets can be found at five Downers Grove locations: Peet’s Coffee, 5100 Main St.; Bangle Boulevard, 1005 Curtiss St.; Evelyn Lane Boutique, 1008 Curtiss St. No. 1; Community Bank of Downers Grove, 1111 Warren Ave.; and the Downers Grove Park District Recreation Center, 4500 Belmont Road.
Since 2000, Hope’s Front Door has worked with area residents from six nearby suburbs who face food and financial hardships.
Aside from Downers Grove, Hope’s Front Door extends its services to Darien, Lisle, Westmont, Willowbrook and Woodridge.
