[Sean King for Shaw Media]Carly Briggs, Wheaton Warrenville South, junior, second baseman: Two-time all-conference selection hit .394 with seven doubles, three homers, 25 RBIs and 21 runs scored for 23-10 regional champs. Made just one error at second base. [Jeff Krage for Shaw Media]Caroline Caesar, St. Francis, senior, catcher: Hope College commit hit .528 with 13 doubles, 11 homers, two triples, 43 RBIs and 21 runs scored in leading 26-4 Spartans to first state appearance. Hit four homers in a game against St. Edward. [Jeff Krage for Shaw Media]Carlee Clark, St. Francis, senior, pitcher: Southern Illinois recruit went 17-2 with a 1.82 ERA and 190 strikeouts in 154 innings for Class 3A state runners-up. At the plate hit .490 with 13 doubles, three triples, 10 homers, 40 runs scored and 43 RBIs. [Bill Ackerman - For Shaw Media]Estelle Czech, Downers Grove North, junior, pitcher: Boston College recruit went 16-4 with a 1.60 ERA and 232 strikeouts, and a .85 WHIP for the 24-win West Suburban Silver champs. At the plate Czech hit .432 with a .528 on-base percentage and seven homers, 27 RBIs and 20 runs scored. [Bill Ackerman - For Shaw Media]Lauren Derkowski, York, sophomore, pitcher: Michigan recruit who led Dukes to state as a freshman struck out 241 batters over 124 innings with a 2.20 ERA. Hit .286 at the plate. [Mike Mantucca for Shaw Media]Annemarie Knudtson, Willowbrook, sophomore, second baseman: Hard-hitting sophomore led Warriors to 20-win season, hitting .461 with 14 doubles, eight homers, 33 RBIs and 37 runs scored. [Jon Cunningham - For Shaw Media]Ella Little, Glenbard South, senior, pitcher: Four-year starter and Alma College commit broke Jill Trzaska's career strikeout record, finishing with 608. This season Little went 17-4 with a 1.32 ERA and 215 strikeouts in 122.1 innings pitched. At the plate hit .466 with nine doubles, three triples, four homers and 37 RBIs [Jon Cunningham - For Shaw Media]Randi McKay, Downers Grove South, senior, pitcher: Wisconsin-Green Bay recruit and four-year starter went 22-3 with a 2.16 ERA and 183 strikeouts over 155.2 innings for 31-3 sectional finalists. At the plate McKay hit .411 with 19 doubles, seven homers and 48 RBIs with 43 runs scored. On the mound went 16-3 with 175 strikeouts in 129.1 innings. [Gary E Duncan Sr for Shaw Media]Sydney Rau, Downers Grove South, junior, center fielder: Stellar defensive outfielder hit .481 with eight doubles, nine triples and seven homers, driving in team-high 57 runs while scoring 47 runs, tied with Maggie Greco for team lead. [Mary Beth Nolan]Kaitlyn Wilson, Downers Grove South, senior, first baseman: Cleanup hitter led Mustangs' starters with a .495 average while belting team-high 12 homers with 45 RBIs. Also hit 10 doubles and scored 39 runs.
