Prasse had nine points, five steals and two assists, Brooke Schramek 10 points and three rebounds and Kendall Holmes, back from a concussion, had nine points and eight rebounds for Benet, which advances to play Mother McAuley in Friday's 5:30 p.m. semifinal at Redbird Arena.
The Redwings (28-5) had to get through quite a gauntlet – Simeon in a regional final, Whitney Young and Montini in sectionals – just to get to Monday.
That achievement wasn't lost on Benet coach Joe Kilbride. Not even 34 percent shooting, and numerous missed layups, could dim the glow.
"I'm just delighted," Kilbride said. "Given the path we had to get here, to get down, Holmes having to miss a game, [Ashley] Konkle was pretty limited tonight [with a hip injury]. I'm just delighted that we're going to Redbird. They've really come together and are playing with a toughness and togetherness that you got to have."
