The Vikings (14-6, 5-1) came into Friday shorthanded, as they were missing both Grace Hinchman and Katie Montgomery. Hinchman missed with a hip injury, while Montgomery was travelling for a soccer-related event in Florida.
Emma Davine and Kelly McCloughan started instead, and provided noticeable impacts. In the second quarter, McCloughan extended a possession with two offensive rebounds, and while it didn't lead to points, the sophomore added plenty of energy to the floor. McCloughan finished with eight points and five rebounds.
Davine, meanwhile, poured in 10 points and five rebounds on an overall efficient night.
"I thought the kids that stepped up, they did a great job," Geneva coach Sarah Meadows said. "Davine and Kelly both."
