Citizens’ Council of La Grange endorses candidates

The Citizens’ Council of La Grange endorsed three Village Board candidates, four library candidates and two Park District candidates for the April election during its slating session Nov. 7.

The group endorsed Beth Augustine, Michael Kotynek and Mark A. Kuchler for village trustee; Katie Allan, Elizabeth Crewe, Angela Larson and Shannon Rischow for library board; and Tim O’Brien and Brian Opyd for Park District board.

The Citizens’ Council was founded in 1941 and is a nonpartisan, nonprofit volunteer organization that evaluates and recommends candidates for local offices in La Grange. Its focus is to find the most qualified candidates for the village of La Grange, La Grange Library board of trustees and the Park District of La Grange board of commissioners. The council also works to keep residents informed on key local government issues.
