LOMBARD – Throughout October and part of November, the Lombard Historical Society will feature The Talking Dead: Victorians and the Spiritualism Movement, an exhibit that educates visitors about the the Victorian fascination with spiritualism and communicating with the dead.
This exhibit draws in local connections and explains how things like phrenology, seances, mediums and Ouija boards are connected to Victorian times.
The exhibit opens to the public Oct. 13 and will remain on display through Thanksgiving at the Victorian Cottage Museum, 23 W. Maple St.
Alison Costanzo, coordinator of the Victorian Cottage, will give an opening history talk at 2 p.m. Oct. 13 at the Carriage House for all interested visitors.
