Car reported burglarized

Police said a car parked in the 4900 block of Forest Avenue was burglarized between 8 and 10 p.m. June 28.

Police said the items missing include a radar detector and a navigation system. The loss is estimated at $1,100.

Man charged with DUI

A man was charged with drunken driving after being arrested at about 1:45 a.m. July 11 at Washington and 55th streets.

Police said John M. Lipschultz, 35, of Woodridge was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and driving without lights when required.

Car reported damaged

Police said a car parked in the 5500 block of Carpenter Street was damaged between 9 and 9:45 p.m. July 12.

Police said the rear driver’s side window was damaged, and there was a landscaping rock in the car’s back seat. The damage is estimated at $150.

Teen charged with DUI

A teenager was charged with drunken driving after being arrested at about 3 a.m. July 13 at Blanchard and Carpenter streets.

Police said Max H. Owens, 17, of Bolingbrook was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, possession of marijuana, consumption of alcohol and no turn lamp.

Home reported damaged

Police said a home in the 500 block of Valley View Drive was damaged at about 4:30 a.m. July 14.

Police said the homeowner heard a loud noise and later noticed a storm screen on a window was damaged. The damage is estimated at $50.

Woman charged with DUI

A woman was charged with drunken driving after being arrested at about 11:30 p.m. July 15 at Butterfield and Finley roads.

Police said Barbara Sharp, 39, of Brookfield was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and driving in the wrong lane.

Westmont

Phone taken in robbery

Police said two men stole a person’s cell phone during a strong-armed robbery that occurred at about 12:15 p.m. July 9 near the intersection of 67th Street and Echo Lane. Police said the victim was not injured in the incident.
The phone is valued at $150. No description was given on the two men.

Tires reported slashed

Police said two tires were slashed on a car parked during the overnight hours of July 7 in the 0-100 block of North Cass Avenue. Damage is estimated at $300, police said.

Man charged with DUI

Joshua M. Rosenberg, 30, of Naperville was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol during a traffic stop at about 1:30 a.m. July 7 near Cass Avenue and 63rd Street, police said. 

Forklift damaged

Police said the control panel on a forklift was damaged during the overnight hours  July 6 while the vehicle was parked near a work site in the 600 block of E. 65th Street. Damage to the forklift is estimated at $1,300, police said.

Domestic battery alleged

Evelyn E. Colon, 42, of Westmont was charged with domestic battery after police said she allegedly struck another person at about 9:15 p.m. July 5 in the 400 block of South Cass Avenue, police said.

Mailbox reported stolen

Police said a mailbox, valued at $100, was reported stolen during the overnight hours of July 5 from a home in the 300 block of South Cass Avenue.

Windshield smashed

A rear windshield of a car was shattered between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. July 14 in the 1500 block of 75th Street, police said.

Bicycle reported stolen

A bike, valued at $170, was taken at about 4:30 p.m. July 13 from the Woodridge Library, 3 Plaza Drive, police said.

Car burglarized

Police said a cell phone and a wallet containing miscellaneous credit cards were removed from a car between July 9 and 12 in the 7600 block of Catalpa Avenue, police said. Reports state no forced entry was observed to the vehicle.

Women face DUI charges

Kalyn Keeler, 18, of Darien was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, obstructing an officer, illegal transport of alcohol and possession of alcohol by a minor following a traffic stop at about 4:15 a.m. July 12 in the 1900 block of 87th Street, police said.

Heidi Anderson, 27, of Naperville was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, illegal transportation of alcohol and improper lane usage following a traffic stop at about 9:15 p.m. July 7 in the 7200 block of Janes Avenue, police said.

Perfume reported stolen

Six bottles of perfume, valued at $270, were stolen at about 7:30 p.m. July 10 from Kohl’s, 1001 75th St., police said.
