Cars reported burglarized

Police said two cars were burglarized at Max Madsen Mitsubishi, 2424 Ogden Ave., between 6 p.m. June 24 and 6:30 a.m. June 25. Police said items missing from the cars include tires and rims. Police said stereos also were missing. The loss is estimated at $2,000 and damage is about $2,000.

Reckless conduct alleged

Police said a man was taken into custody after he shot off a BB gun at about 8:30 a.m. June 26.

Police said Daniel W. Chinoy, 27, 4925 Fairview Ave., Downers Grove was charged with reckless conduct.

Man charged with felony

Police arrested a man after learning he was driving without a valid driver’s license.

Police said Andrew Smith Jr., 48, of Romeoville had an expired registration sticker on his car.

Police said upon stopping Smith, officers learned he did not have a valid driver’s license because of a prior charge of driving under the influence.

Smith was charged with a felony of aggravated driving while license revoked.

Retail theft reported

Police said a man attempted to steal a USB drive from Fry’s Electronics, 3300 Finley Road, at about 2:30 p.m. June 27.

Police said Nicholas V. Sowa, 22, of Lombard attempted to take a Michael Jackson 25th Anniversary Thriller Edition USB drive. Police said Sowa removed the item from its packaging and put it in his pants pocket. Police said Sowa later passed the point of sale. Sowa was charged with retail theft.

Fire damages trash bin

Police said they responded to Sparkleen Cleaners, 5107 Fairview Ave., at 3:45 a.m. June 27 for a report of a trash bin on fire. Police said the Downers Grove Fire Department extinguished the fire. Police said the trash bin contained a bed mattress, a wood door and other garbage.

Rain gauge missing

Police said a plastic rain gauge was reported missing between 4 p.m. June 27 and 7 a.m. June 28. Police said the gauge is valued at $12.

Car damaged

Police said a car parked near Warren and Saratoga avenues was damaged between 8 and 10:45 p.m. June 28. Police said the mirror and mirror casing were both damaged. The damage is estimated at $200.

Westmont

Man faces DUI charge

Ryan L. Rissman, 23, of Naperville was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol after he was pulled over for a traffic stop at about 12:15 a.m. June 18 near the intersection of 55th Street and Cass Avenue, police said.

Cab fare left unpaid

Police said they received a theft report about a man who did not pay for a $44 cab ride. The incident occurred at about 3 a.m. June 17 near the intersection of 60th Street and Cass Avenue.

Van reported stolen

Police said a resident in the 200 block of Willard Place reported a 2000 Ford Windstar van, valued at $3,500, was stolen. The incident occurred between June 10 and 15, police said.

Wet bar taken

Police said a wet bar, valued at $800, was reported stolen from the common area of an apartment building in the 100 block of West 65th Street. The incident occurred  between June 11 and 13, police said.

Suspended license alleged

Michael Jage, 20, of Naperville was charged with driving with a suspended license and possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia. The incident occurred at about 3:30 p.m. June 13 near Chicago Avenue and Grant Street, police said.

Cash stolen from business

Police said $200 was removed from a cash register between 8:45 p.m. June 28 and 10:45 a.m. June 29 in the 7500 block of Janes Avenue.

Reports state a rear door was pried open to gain entry. Police said the offender also made a hole in the wall to the adjacent business, breaking a mirror. However, reports state entry was not gained to the adjacent business.

DUI charges filed

Diane Haywashburn, 60, 6305 Snead Court, Woodridge was charged with two counts of driving under the influence and improper lane usage following a traffic stop at about 9:30 p.m. June 27 in the 6800 block of Greene Road, police said.

Police said Aimando Bramwell, 27, 2632 Forest Drive, Woodridge was charged with two counts of driving under the influence of alcohol, improper lane usage and resisting arrest following a traffic stop at about 4:15 a.m. in the 2400 block of Evergreen Lane, police said.

Christopher Foley, 44, of Glen Ellyn was charged with one count of driving under the influence, driving while license suspended, operating a motor vehicle without insurance, illegal display of front plate, improper lane usage and driving without headlamps following a traffic stop at about 9:15 p.m. June 26 at a stop sign at Mulligan Drive and Route 53, police said.

Police said Randy C. Kleutgen, 42, 6325 Winston Drive, Woodridge was charged with one count of driving under the influence and resisting arrest following a traffic stop at about 9:15 p.m. June 24 in the 6300 block of Winston Drive. Reports state Plainfield police had alerted multiple police departments Kleutgen was wanted for investigation purposes for a criminal damage to property and a violation of order of protection.
