Downers Grove

Car reported damaged

Police said a car parked in the 6800 block of Saratoga Avenue was damaged between midnight and 5 p.m. May 26. Police said three of the car’s tires were slashed. Damage is estimated at $450.

Radar detector missing

Police said a car parked in the 6400 block of Devane Court was burglarized between 10:30 p.m. May 27 and 6:30 a.m. May 28.

Police said a passenger side window was shattered and a radar detector and a portable music player were missing. The damage is estimated at $250. The loss is about $600.

Car window broken

Police said a car parked in the 6100 block of Washington Street was damaged between 10 a.m. and 4:45 p.m. May 28.

Police said the front driver’s side window was broken. Police said nothing inside the car was removed or disturbed. The damage is estimated at $300.

Laptop taken from car

Police said a car parked in the 800 block of Lincoln Street was burglarized between 11 p.m. May 29 and 5 a.m. May 30. Police said the missing items include a laptop computer, glasses, a calculator and other personal belongings. The loss is estimated at $2,580.

Park vandalized

Police said the band shelter at Fishel Park, 1036 Grove St., was vandalized between noon May 30 and 9 a.m. June 1.

Police said graffiti was painted on the band shelter. Damage is about $25.

Two charged with battery

Police said two women were charged with battery after officers responded to a fight at North Beach Club, 1211 Butterfield Road, at 12:45 a.m. May 31.

Police said Maria E. Lopez, 23, of Chicago was charged with three counts of battery and one count of resisting a peace officer.

Police said Ericka A. Rodriguez, 22, of Glen Ellyn was charged with two counts of battery.

Woman charged with DUI

A woman was charged with drunken driving after being arrested at about 2:30 a.m. May 31 at 55th Street and Park Avenue.

Police said Sheila A. Barbre, 36, 5643 Aubrey Terrace, Downers Grove was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, leaving the scene of a property damage accident and failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident.

Brick thrown at car

Police said a car parked in the 800 block of Bonnie Brae Drive was damaged between 1 and 7:15 a.m. June 1.

Police said two landscaping bricks were used to break the windshield and the rear passenger side window. Police said nothing inside the car was taken. Damage is estimated at $900.

Bike reported stolen

Police said a bicycle was stolen from the 400 block of Lincoln Avenue between 4 and 5 p.m. June 2. The BMX-style bike is  valued at $125.

Westmont

Trailer reported burglarized

Police said two backpack blowers and two weed whips, valued at $1,400, were reported taken from the back of a Westmont Park District truck trailer. The incident occurred between 11:30 a.m. and 12:15 p.m. May 28 near Ty Warner Park, at Blackhawk and Plaza drives, police said.

Man faces drug charges

Jose A. Ibarra, 20, of Elgin was charged with possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia after a traffic stop at about 12:15 a.m. May 27 near the intersection of 63rd Street and Fairview Avenue, police said.

Man charged with DUI

Ralph D. Anderson, 29, of Chicago was charged with aggravated driving under the influence of alcohol and driving with a revoked license after being arrested at about 1 a.m. May 25 near the intersection of Cass Avenue and 63rd Street, police said.

Vehicle taken from home

Police said a Jeep Liberty, valued $13,000, was reported taken from a residence between 2 and 3 p.m. May 25 in the 1000 block of Williams Street, police said.

Disorderly conduct alleged

Betuei Miron, 25, 807 S. Adams, Westmont, was charged with disorderly conduct and obstruction of justice after a traffic altercation that occurred at about 8 p.m. May 23 near the intersection of Cass Avenue and 63rd Street, police said.

Woman faces theft charge

Erica D. Fox, 31, of Chicago was charged with felony retail theft after police said she allegedly took four external computer hard drives from an unnamed business in the 0 to 100 block of East Ogden Avenue. The incident occurred at about noon May 22, police said.

Brick thrown at window

Someone threw a landscape brick through the front window of a home at about 4:15 a.m. June 9 in the 8100 block of Hampton Drive, police said. Reports state there were no injuries.

iPod removed from car

An iPod Nano and radar detector were stolen from a vehicle between 9 p.m. June 6 and 11 a.m. June 7 in the 7600 block of Larchwood Lane, police said.

Gas reported stolen

Someone pumped $18 in gas and left without paying at 11 a.m. June 7 in the 2400 block of 63rd Street, police said.

Mailbox damaged

A cedar mailbox was damaged between 6:30 p.m. June 5 and 1 p.m. June 6 in the 1800 block of Fitzgerald Drive, police said.

Tools reported missing

Someone stole a Craftsman drill, screw driver set and adjustable wrench set from an unlocked vehicle between 12 and 12:30 p.m. June 6 in the 2800 block of 75th Street, police said.

Wallet stolen

A wallet was stolen from a purse between 6 and 7 p.m. June 4 in the 2300 block of W. 75th Street, police said.

Purse taken

Someone smashed the driver’s side window of a vehicle and stole a purse from the front passenger seat between about 6:15 and 7 p.m. June 4 in the 6600 block of Route 53, police said.

Phone, knife stolen

A cell phone and Swiss army knife were removed from a vehicle between 10 and 11 a.m. June 4 in the 7100 block of Janes Avenue, police said.

Copper wire taken

About 60 feet of copper wire was taken from a construction site between 3:30 p.m. June 1 and 6 a.m. June 2 in the 1000 block of Davey Road, police said.
