Bolingbrook, IL -

Bolingbrook police arrested three teens after an alert police officer noticed the three driving in a black 2006 Hyundai Sonata during the early morning hours of Dec. 31, according to police.

“An officer noticed that three very young looking people who might be underage were driving in the car when the driver parked it at the White Castle restaurant on Briarcliff Road and Illinois Route 53 and the occupants then went inside,” said Lt. Ken Teppel, spokesman for the Bolingbrook Police Department.

The officer ran a check on the vehicle and found it was reported stolen Dec. 22 from an Aurora resident.

After notifying Aurora police and the vehicle’s registered owner, police arrested the three occupants.

Jerreme Thompson, 17, 184 Garden Drive, and Megan Kane, 17, 137 Glenlake Drive, were charged with criminal trespass to a vehicle. The driver of the vehicle, an unidentified 15-year-old Bolingbrook male, was charged with possession of a stolen vehicle and petitioned to the juvenile court, Teppel said.
