DUI alleged
A man was charged with drunken driving after being arrested at about 10 p.m. Sept. 3 at Maple Avenue and Washington Street.
Police said Robert K. Hudson, 61, of Westmont also was charged with improper lane change and failure to signal when required.
Man charged with DUI
A man was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol after being arrested at 8:30 a.m. Sept. 4 in the 3900 block of Washington Street.
According to police, William J. Angelo, 44, 3920 Washington St., Downers Grove also was charged with driving with a revoked license, disobeying a stop sign, leaving the scene of property damage accident and operating an uninsured vehicle.
Man faces DUI charges
A man was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol after being arrested at about 8:15 p.m. Sept. 3 in the 4600 block of Wilson Avenue.
Police said Charles M. Damptz, 4628 Forest Ave., Downers Grove was also was charged with having expired registration, operating an uninsured vehicle and a failure to provide information after an accident.
According to police, Damptz had hit two parked cars, one on Wilson and Grand avenues and the other on the 2000 block of Ogden Avenue, and did not report it to police.
Traffic stop yields charges
A man was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol after being arrested at about 12:15 a.m. Sept. 4 at 63rd and Williams streets.
Police said Jerry Smulik, 62, of Oak Brook also was charged with making an improper turn, according to police.
Battery alleged
Police said a man was charged with drunken driving and four counts of aggravated battery.
Brian E. Ramirez, 21, of Hanover Park was arrested at about 8:30 a.m. Sept. 5 in the 2600 block of Butterfield Road, according to police.
Ramirez reportedly spat at officers several times, police said.
Man charged with DUI
A man was charged with drunken driving after being arrested at about 7:15 p.m. Sept. 4 at Main and Curtiss streets, police said.
Police said, Ricky S. Russell, 53, 5522 Webster St., Downers Grove also was charged with leaving the scene of an accident and an improper lane change.
Woman faces theft charge
A woman allegedly stole more than $65 worth of hair products, dog food and a calculator from Ultra Foods, 1212 75th St.
Police said the theft occurred at about 9:30 p.m. Sept. 2. Loralyn Grove, 40, of Lisle was seen putting items in her purse while shopping at the store, according to police.
WOODRIDGE
Car window shattered
Police said the driver’s side window of a car was broken between 7 p.m. Aug. 30 and noon Aug. 31 in the 2400 block of Forest Drive, police said.
Playground vandalized
Police said the bottom of three moroccos located on playground equipment were burned between July 18 and Aug. 31 in the 8400 block of Mending Wall Drive.
Money, taken from car
Police said $10 in change and a pair of plastic sunglasses were removed between 10 p.m. Aug. 29 and 7 a.m. Aug. 30 in the 3200 block of Deer Road, police said.
Car burglarized
A gym bag, heart monitor and MP3 player were stolen from a car between 4:30 p.m. Aug. 29 and 6:45 a.m. Aug. 30 in the 2100 block of Country Club Drive, police said.
Landscaping damaged
Police said a car was driven in the front yard of a residence, damaging grass and two landscape beds containing several flats of flowers and a light between 11 p.m. Aug. 29 and 7 a.m. Aug. 30 in the 2900 block of Everglade Avenue.
Gestures made at children
Several children reported a man driving a silver or gray full-size conversion van and wearing a white hat and red shirt made lewd gestures at about 5:15 p.m. Aug. 28 near the intersection of Woodridge and Williams drives, police said.
Gas stolen
Police said an unknown person pumped $30 worth of gas and drove off without paying at about 8:30 a.m. Aug. 28 at Thornton’s Gas Station, located in the 2401 63rd St.
