Yearbooks, letters to future generations, a cheerleader's uniform, newspaper articles, a cellphone; what do these things all have in common? They will all be buried Nov. 7, in a time capsule, along with pictures, DVDs and other items.

It will be the year 2059 before the items, collected by The City of Wheaton, Wheaton schools, residents and community groups, are seen again.

The time capsule will be buried Saturday, Nov. 7, in front of City Hall, 303 W. Wesley St., after a dedication ceremony at 9 a.m. All are invited.

In June, the City unearthed a time capsule from 1959 and displayed the contents during a community event in Memorial Park as part of its sesquicentennial celebration. Saturday morning's time capsule burial continues the tradition.
