Former Bolingbrook Chamber president charged with DUI

Bolingbrook, IL -

Maureen Fox, DuPage Township administrator and the 2005 Bolingbrook Citizen of the Year, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol Aug. 1 in Bolingbrook.

According to Bolingbrook Police Department reports, Fox, 45, 506 Pinebrook Drive, Bolingbrook, was pulled over by police at about 12:15 a.m. on Janes Avenue near Chesapeake Drive.

Police also charged Fox with disobeying a stop sign and illegal lane usage.

“I sincerely apologize to my family, friends and the citizens of Bolingbrook and Romeoville,” Fox said on Wednesday. “I take full responsibility for my actions, and I fully cooperated with police throughout the process.

“I am a community leader and I made a poor judgment. I am human.”

Fox, a Fountaindale Public Library District Board member, is past president of the Bolingbrook Chamber of Commerce and the Bolingbrook Business and Professional Women.

Fox did not provide any other details about the incident.
