DuPage County, IL -

The DuPage County Health Department’s Sexually Transmitted Disease program is now offering appointments for STD screenings on Friday mornings at the Central Public Health Center, 111 N. County Farm Road, Wheaton.

The express visits are designed for clients who report no signs or symptoms. Services include nurse consultation, urine screening for chlamydia and gonorrhea, and blood tests for syphilis and HIV.

Vaccines are available for Human Papilloma Virus, Hepatitis A and Hepatitis B. Clients will not receive a physical exam by a physician at the express clinic, but will be referred if appropriate.
The fee for an express visit is $30, however an additional $20 fee will apply if treatment is needed or a client is referred to an STD Clinic physician.

Express visit appointments are currently offered between 8:30 a.m. and 11:30 a.m.

The STD program continues to offer the full-service STD clinic from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. Mondays and Wednesdays. That clinic operates on a walk-in basis, so no appointment is needed. The fee for full-service clinic visit is $50 and includes nurse consultation, lab tests, physician visit, physical exam and medication.

To schedule an appointment or for more information, call (630) 682-7400.
