The Fountaindale Public Library District Board of Trustees approved the issue of $10 million in bonds to partially fund construction of a new Bolingbrook branch building at a special meeting Oct. 8.
The bonds were sold earlier in the day, and trustees approved the sale that night, said Margaret “Peg” Danhof, president of the Library Board.
The district will issue another $33 million in the future to complete construction of a 100,000 square foot facility at 300 W. Briarcliff Road.
The new facility will replace the 48,000 square foot facility that was originally built in the 1970s.
