Shannon Murphy Wimp and Eric Michael Schmidt have announced their engagement. Shannon is the daughter of Benote H. Wimp Jr., and Colleen M. Murphy of Downers Grove. Eric is the son of Walter F. Schmidt and Kathleen A. Schmidt of Darien.
The bride-to-be is a graduate of Benet Academy. She earned a bachelor’s degree in theology from the University of Notre Dame in 2007. She is employed as a coordinator of youth ministry at St. Louis de Montfort Parish in Fishers, Ind.
The groom-to-be is a graduate of Benet Academy. He earned a bachelor’s degree in mathematics education from Purdue University in 2007. He is employed as a mathematics and theology teacher at Cathedral High School in Indianapolis, Ind.
The wedding is planned for December 2008 in St. Joseph Parish in Downers Grove. The couple will reside in Fishers.
