Items stolen during car burglary
A vehicle in the parking lot of UPS, on the 100 block of South Lombard Road, was broken into and several items, including a portable game unit, a cellular telephone and three video games, were taken. The incident was reported at 10:45 p.m. Sept. 29.
No value was given on the items; and police did not indicate whether the vehicle was unlocked at the time of the burglary.

Two minors charged with drinking alcohol
Ryan D. Gnutek, 18, of 5N341 Rohlwing Road, Itasca, and Lisa A. White, 18, of 658 Country Lane, Roselle, were charged with illegal consumption of alcohol by a minor at 2 a.m. Sept. 30 at 1250 W. Lake St.

Bellwood man faces drunken driving charge
Terrance D. Dobson, 38, of Bellwood, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, improper lane use, failure to signal and no insurance at 12:05 a.m., Sept. 28 near Addison Road and Green Meadows Avenue.

Elmhurst man charged with drunken driving
Michael T. Kamienski, 34, of 420 Maple Ave., Elmhurst, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, speeding and improper lane use at 1:40 a.m. Sept. 27 near Lake Street and Lincoln Avenue.

Police accuse man of making death threats
Frank W. Myers, 38, of 911 N. Harvard Ave., Villa Park, was charged with disorderly conduct at 10:15 p.m. Sept. 25 on the 900 block of South Harvard Avenue.
According to police, Myers yelled death threats at an individual.

Wood Dale teen charged with disorderly conduct
Saul Cardenas, 17, of 364 N. Wood Dale Road, Wood Dale, was charged with disorderly conduct at 10 p.m. Saturday at 917 W. Hillside Drive.

Resident charged
with drunken driving
Cesar Hernandez, 23, of 112 Sonny Lane, Bensenville, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and driving without a valid driver’s license at 7:30 p.m. Saturday near Red Oak Street and Church Road.

Halloween decorations
stolen from home
Halloween decorations were taken from a home on the 200 block of North Walnut Street. The incident was reported at 9:20 a.m. Saturday.
No value was given on the stolen items.

Religious statue taken
from front lawn of home
A 3-foot tall concrete statue of the Virgin Mary was taken from the front lawn of a home on the 100 block of Ellis Drive. The incident was reported at 9:48 a.m. Friday .
No value was given on the statue.

Catalytic converters taken
from several vehicles
Catalytic converters were removed from four vehicles overnight Oct. 2 or Oct. 3 from an unnamed business on the 100 block of Industrial Drive. The incident was reported at 7:15 a.m. Friday .
The converters were valued at $600 each.

Resident charged
with domestic battery
Christopher Lee Kalenian, 22, of the 300 block of Grove Street, was charged with domestic battery at 8 a.m. Tuesday at his residence.
Kalenian also had an outstanding warrant for drunken driving out of DuPage County, police said.

Police investigate drugs
found in department store
A bag of drugs was found at Target, 401 W. Irving Park Road.
According to police, store security found a bag of white powder, which later tested positive for heroin. The bag was found at 8:30 p.m. Saturday.
Police are investigating the case.

Minor charged with
drinking alcohol
Martin Esparza Jr., 20, no address given, was charged with zero tolerance regarding alcohol consumption and driving with a suspended license at 12:15 a.m. Friday near Route 83 and Deer Path.
