The Westmont Park District will hold a special daddy-daughter date event where they will go on a fishing trip without a lake or even a fishing pole.
The event, “Fishing with my Father,” is for dads and girls ages 3 and up. The event will be held from 6 to 8:15 p.m. at the Westmont Park District facility, 55 E. Richmond St.
The girls will have the opportunity to participate in fishing theme games, and enjoy a meal of fish sticks and chips with their dads. A ventriloquist will help share tales of that one big fish that got away, and other activities will be held.
