The Addison Park District’s Links and Tees golf facility is one of three locations where golfers can compete in the Glenfiddich Open to qualify for a golf vacation to Hawaii.
The tournament will be held from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 23 to Thursday, Sept. 25, and 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday, Sept. 26 and Saturday, Sept. 27, at Links & Tees, 900 W. Lake St., Addison.
To qualify, golfers compete at the Short Game Challenge by playing the Par 3 course twice for a total of 18 holes. A $25 fee per qualifying try applies, but there is no limit to the number of times golfers can try. Golfers then enter their score, course location, date, name, age, telephone number and e-mail address, on their score cards.
Other locations are:
n Golf Center in Des Plaines – 4 to 9 p.m. Friday, Sept. 12, 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 13 and 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 14.
n Golf Nation in Palatine – Thursday, Oct. 2 through Sunday, Oct. 5.
The top five scores from each of the three facilities reach the finals, which will be held from 1 to 4 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 18 at Golf Nation, where 15 finalist will compete with first prize being a golf vacation for two to Hawaii.
