If you have ever watched “American Idol” or “America’s Got Talent” and thought, “I can do that!” then the DuPage County Fair talent competition might be the place for you.
Contestants will be divided into two divisions: the junior division will be for ages 14 and younger, and the senior division will be for ages 15 through 21.
Preliminary auditions will be held at 1 p.m. Sunday, July 13, at the DuPage County Fairgrounds, 2015 W. Manchester Road, Wheaton. Eight finalists will be chosen from each division to perform at 2 p.m. Saturday, July 26.
Cash prizes will be awarded to the top four finishers in each division. Overall winners will represent DuPage County at the State Competition in January to compete for the state title.
A $20 entry fee is due upon registration. Entries must be postmarked by Monday. The DuPage County Fair runs from Wednesday, July 23, through Sunday, July 27. For rules and application, visit the Web site at www.dupagecountyfair.org or call (630) 668-6636.
