The Illinois State Police will conduct roadside safety checks over the July 4 holiday weekend.
A checkpoint will be set up from 6 to 11 p.m. Thursday in DuPage County on Interstate 355 at the southbound exit to Butterfield Road.
There will also be a checkpoint in Cook County from 11 p.m. Saturday to 4 a.m. Sunday on Interstate 294 at the northbound exit to Halsted Street.
