The board of directors of the DuPage Area Occupational Education System has appointed Alf Logan as interim director.
Logan will oversee the administration of the DuPage Area Occupational Education System and Technology Center of DuPage in Addison.
The current director, Frederick G. Kane, is retiring Monday after five years at the helm. Logan will serve until the board hires a new director.
Logan is the former superintendent of Fenton High School District 100 in Bensenville.
Based in Addison, the system is one of Illinois’ 60 Career and Technical Education systems. Representatives of 14 DuPage-area districts comprise the system’s governing board. Its two main functions are to plan for the delivery of career and technical education programs for the western suburbs and to oversee the operation of the Technology Center of DuPage.
