Art lovers are invited to a reception from 5:30 to 8 p.m. Friday, April 17, for “The Life Drawing” exhibit at The Fine Line Creative Arts Center, 6N158 Crane Road, St. Charles.

The show, which runs through May 30, features works by a group of artists who gather Wednesdays to draw a male or female model. Rosalie Vass is coordinator for the group. After working with a core group of artists for five years, she decided to curate a show of the many different works in media including sculpture, print making, reverse drawings, collage, clay pieces and paintings in watercolor, oils and acrylics.

The artists include Vass, Rebecca Allen and George Turner, all from Batavia; Salvatore Ingrassia from Geneva; Roberta Menis, Sue West and Mary Ellen Segraves, all from St. Charles; Pat Spooner from Elgin; Cathy Buck from Elburn; David Hettinger, Pam McLean and Mary Powers, all from Aurora; and Barb Hansen from Sleepy Hollow.

The Fine Line is an educational center devoted to helping individuals nurture their creative energies. It provides year-round classes in a wide range of media, including weaving, knitting, crochet, machine knitting, dyeing, jewelry, beading, pottery, drawing and painting.
