West Chicago graduate completes combat training
Army National Guard Special Liam Mungovan has graduated from basic combat training at Fort Jackson, Columbia, S.C.
Mungovan graduated in 1990 from West Chicago High School, and received a bachelor's degree in 2001 from Judson College, Elgin.
Univerity of Kansas names fall 2006 honor roll students
More than 4,540 undergraduate students at the University of Kansas Lawrence campus and the Schools of Allied Health and Nursing in Kansas City earned honor-roll distinction for the fall 2006 semester.
They include senior Anna E Wood, who is studying education. She is the daughter of David and Rachel Wood of Warrenville and graduated from Wheaton-Warrenville South High School.
Marquette names locals to dean’s list
sdj. rm Marquette University in Milwaukee, Wis., named several local students to its dean’s list for the fall semester of 2006.

Bradley University nameslocals to dean’s list
Lara Urben of Warrenville and Danielle Jackson of West Chicago were both named to the dean’s list or the fall semester at Bradley University in Peoria.
To be eligible for the list a student must achieve a minimum 3.5 grade point average for the semester on a 4.0 scale.
Creighton University hosts winter commencement
Paul Hayes of Warrenville earned a master of arts degree from Creighton University during winter commencement Dec. 16.
Creighton University is Jesuit, Catholic institution located in Omaha, Neb.
Pleitt is named to Missouri dean’s list
Jason Pleitt of Warrenville was named to the dean’s list at the University of Missouri-Rolla, for the 2007 winter semester. Those on the list carried a minimum of 12 hours and had grade-point averages of 3.2 or above out of a possible 4.0.
Pleitt is an engineering major.
University of Iowa namesfall 2006 graduates
The University of Iowa held its fall 2006 commencement ceremonies Dec. 15 to 16, awarding some 1,500 degrees. Among them were two local students.
Warrenville resident Elizabeth Annerino earned a bachelor of science in nursing and a bachelor’s degree in psychology.
Winfield resident Matthew Weber earned a bachelor of business administration with a major in accounting.
Winfield resident honoredby Greenville College
Greenville College said Amanda Reese, a junior English major from Winfield, qualified for honors at the conclusion of the fall semester. She was also named a college scholar.
To qualify for the dean’s list, juniors must have a 3.5 grade-point average on a 4.0 scale. A college scholar is a student who has made the dean’s list for three or more consecutive semesters.
Greenville College is a four-year Christian liberal arts school located in Greenville, Ill.
Local students named to Iowa dean’s list
Several local students were among more than 3,800 undergraduate students at the University of Iowa named to the dean’s list for the 2006 fall semester.
All students named to the list carried at least 12 graded semester hours during the semester. A minimum 3.5 grade point average, based on a 4.0 scale.
From Warrenville were Elizabeth Annerino, who is in the College Of Nursing, and Branko Popovic, who is in the College Of Engineering.
From West Chicago was Michael Rome, who is in the College Of Liberal Arts.
Winfield residents include Emily Gehrke in the College Of Liberal Arts; Brett Guzdziol, College Of Liberal Arts; Monica Krisman, College Of Engineering; Allen Palash Jr., College Of Liberal Arts; and Matthew Weber, College Of Business Administration.
Wisconsin-Madison name locals to dean’s list
The University of Wisconsin-Madison has recognized three area students on its dean’s list for the fall semester of the 2006-07 academic year.
Recognized were Jacob Glicklich of Warrenville, and Winfield residents Heidi Kaufman and Susan Light.
Warrenville student onored at MacMurray
Melissa Naberhaus of Warrenville has been named to the MacMurray College dean’s list for the 2006 fall semester. To be on the list, a student must maintain a 3.5 or higher grade- point average on a 4.0 scale.
Naberhaus is majoring in nursing and will graduate in 2010. While at MacMurray she has participated in soccer. The daughter of Cindy and Brian Naberhaus, she is a 2006 graduate of Wheaton-Warrenville South High School.
MacMurray is located in Jacksonville, Ill.
