• Advance for Nurses news magazine announced Central DuPage Hospital (CDH) in Winfield, is one of the select top hospitals in the magazine’s second annual Readers’ Choice survey for the Greater Chicago and Metro Areas of Wisconsin and Indiana.

 

• The DuPage PADS 6th Annual Wake Up Your Spirit Breakfast will be held from 7 to 8:30 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 5, in the Krasa Center, Benedictine University in Lisle. Join business, congregation and civic leaders in the community for a breakfast of inspiration and motiviation. Marilyn King, keynote speaker, will share her message of peace, courage and passion. • Mary Beck has been promoted to front office manager for Western DuPage Special Recreation Association (WDSRA). Managing the front office, Beck is responsible for overseeing program registrations, supervising day-to-day operations, and acts as a primary liaison between WDSRA families and staff. WDSRA is a nonprofit organizaiton and an extension of nine park districts including Bloomingdale, Carol Stream, Glen Ellyn, Naperville, Roselle, Warrenville, West Chicago, Wheaton and Winfield. • Alicia Meredith joins Western DuPage Special Recreation Association (WDSRA) as the special events and day camps coordinator. Meredith will be responsible for planning and implementing a variety of special events as well as coordinating seasonal day camps for both teens and adults. • Kurt Hinterkopf joins Western DuPage Special Recreation Association (WDSRA) as the cultural arts and social programs coordinator. • Marquette Bank, a locally-owned neighborhood bank, had 26 managers from the bank volunteer to work a shift recently at the Greater Chicago Food Depository warehouse located on the south side of Chicago.
