Battery counts filed
Robert Flannery, 49, 301 Elm St., Glen Ellyn, was charged with two counts of domestic battery July 4. According to reports, Flannery responded angrily to news from his roommate that they had been evicted. Reports state Flannery responded by swinging a golf club, breaking material around the residence, and throwing broken glass at his roommate, lacerating his right hand.
• Shawn Brennan, 31, 24 N. Parkside Ave., Glen Ellyn, was charged with two counts of domestic battery and one count of interfering with the reporting of domestic violence after a fight with a woman July 5, according to police reports. Brennan threw a folding camping chair at the woman and struck her in the face, police said. When she tried to call 911, he slapped the phone away, police reports state.
Beer taken from cooler
More than a dozen cases of beer were taken from a beverage cooler at the Village Links of Glen Ellyn sometime overnight before July 8, police reports state. While restocking the outdoor cooler that morning, employees found empty beer bottles in the area. Upon further investigation, they found that between 15 and 20 cases of beer were missing. The cooler is surrounded by a privacy fence and usually is secured with a padlock, which was also had been taken, according to reports.
Items reported stolen
Several electronic items were stolen from a 2002 Ford Explorer overnight before July 12, according to police reports. The owner discovered that missing from the car, which was parked at 811 Snowhill Court Snowhill Court, was a laptop computer, a digital camera and a global positioning system. There were no signs of forced entry, reports state.
A global positioning system costing more than $500 was stolen from an unlocked 2000 Volvo S40 sometime overnight before July 12, according to police reports. An MP3 player charger and case were also reported missing from the car, which was parked at 177 Jonathan Court.
Several items were taken from an unlocked 1999 Mercedes parked at 175 Grandview Ave. overnight before July 13. A satellite radio, seven pairs of designer sunglasses, two cell phone chargers and an unknown amount of loose change were reported missing.
Property damaged
On two separate occasions earlier this month the men’s bathrooms at Ackerman Park on St. Charles Road endured damage from fireworks, according to police reports. On July 6 and again on July 12, a toilet in the park’s facilities was discovered to have been blown apart. The total estimated damage is $500.
Child pornography alleged
Robert Romanski, 25, of the 100 block of South MainStreet, Glen Ellyn, was charged with dissemination of child pornography and possession of child pornography July 19.
Romanksi was arrested after officers discovered he had been trading child pornography over the Internet, reports state. Police said they conducted a warranted search of his residence and seized computer equipment, which was analyzed for evidence. Romanski is being held at DuPage County Jail, and bond was set at $250,000. The two felony charges carry maximum punishments of 15 years and five years, respectively.

Items reported stolen
An employee reported 13 pennants missing from Rice Lake Pool, 1777 S. Blanchard St., police reported. They were taken between 8:30 p.m. July 15 and 6:30 a.m. July 16, according to police. Someone climbed a water pipe on the east side of the building to access the roof and steal the pennants. The estimated cost of the pennants is $598.95.
DUI alleged
• Gina D. Book, 19, of Naperville was charged with driving under the influence and improper lane usage at the Main Street and Forest Avenue at about 2:45 a.m. July 15, according to reports.
• Wesley R. Langkamp, 22, of Glen Ellyn was charged with driving under the influence, operating an uninsured motor vehicle and disobeying a traffic control signal at about 3 a.m. July 15 at the intersection of Main and Wesley streets, according to reports.
• Matthew P. Gockman, 22, of Naperville was charged with driving under the influence and disobeying a traffic control signal at about 2:30 a.m. July 14 at the intersection of Naperville Road and Park Avenue, according to police.
• Steve A. Vizuete, 25, of Skokie was charged with driving under the influence and improper lane usage at about 1:30 a.m. July 14 at Arbor Drive and West Street, according to reports. Passenger Ulises D. Acosta was arrested for possession of less than 30 grams of marijuana, police reported.
• Michael J. Schulenberg, 30, of Batavia was charged with driving under the influence, improper lane usage and speeding at about 1:30 a.m. July 13 at Butterfield Road and Cromwell Drive, according to police.
• Evan Predmore, 23, 318 Brahms Circle, was charged with driving under the influence, possession of drug paraphernalia, disobeying a traffic control signal and no insurance arrested at about 1 a.m. July 13 at the intersection of Main and Seminary streets, police said. Predmore also faced a previous warrant for a suspended license, according to police.

Christine M. Kelly, 61, of Carol Stream was charged with battery in the 1600 block of North Main Street at about 12:30 p.m. July 15, according to police.
Property damaged
A Wheaton Warrenville South employee reported that between 6 p.m. July 11 and 7 a.m. July 12 someone slashed four weighted football tackling bags by slashing them with a sharp object. A regulation soccer net was also damaged by being cut while on a support frame, according to police. The equipment was kept in a storage unit which was unlocked. The estimated cost is $2,000 for the football equipment and $125 for the soccer net.
