
SCARCE, the countywide environmental education group, is hosting three open houses in Glen Ellyn in July.
The sessions will showcase products made from recycled materials and green technologies, and it will highlight the programs SCARCE runs in DuPage County such the book rescue and super crayon project, where old crayons are melted down and recycled.
The event runs from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. and 1 to 2:30 p.m. Friday, July 10, and Wednesday, July 15. Another will be held from 1 to 2:30 p.m. Monday, July 13.
The open houses are at Building No. 2 at DuPage County’s Environmental Education Center, 799 Roosevelt Road, Glen Ellyn. The event is free, but reservations are required. Call (630) 545-9710 for information.
