Wheaton, IL -

A festival worker living temporarily at Wheaton’s DuPage County Fairgrounds was arrested and set to be charged with stabbing and wounding another worker in a fight last week.

James Adams, 49, of Everglades City, Fla., was expected to be charged with misdemeanor battery after a fight broke out just before midnight Thursday, June 25, according to Wheaton police reports.

A 37-year-old food vendor, also from Florida, was stabbed six times in the torso after an altercation, police reports stated. Police expected he would fully recover.

Both men were working as food vendors at local festivals and are temporarily living in trailers at the fairgrounds, 2015 W. Manchester Road.
