The Wheaton Police Department is investigating a report of a suspicious individual who was observed in the area of the Avalon Lakeside Apartment complex, near Briar Glen School.

The DuPage County Sheriff’s Department will test suspicious or questionable Halloween treats beginning at noon Saturday, Oct. 31, as part of a special initiative to make the holiday safer for trick-or-treaters, the department  announced.

The side effects of a bad economy have claimed another victim. Commuters who take Pace buses in throughout Wheaton and other western suburbs can expect probable service changes and fare increases by the end of the year.

Delrick Robb, 36, of Lombard, was charged with possession of child pornography, Oct. 26. 
A media release from the City of Wheaton says that Robb is being held in the DuPAge County Jail on $150,000 bond.

Police have released no other details.

Keith Wessman, 20, of Wheaton, who was wanted on a warrant, was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance and two counts of forgery, Oct. 23, according to a media release from the Wheaton Police Department.

The arrest was a result of a narcotics investigation.
