
The Artist Series at Wheaton College will present renowned soprano saxophonist Branford Marsalis, joining the Filharmonia Brasileira in a performance conducted by Gil Jardim at 8 p.m.
Friday, Oct. 24, in Pierce Memorial Chapel, southeast corner of Washington and Franklin streets.
Marsalis will solo throughout most of the evening in a program including works of Brazil’s national musical hero Heitor Villa-Lobos and France’s jazz-influenced genius, Darius Milhaud.
