A great performance Monday produced a frustratingly close setback for Downers South's volleyball team.
Led by Courtney Gosewisch (15 kills) and Marielle Oestermeyer (13), the Mustangs gave defending sectional champion Benet a great challenge but came up just short as the Redwings won 25-22, 19-25, 25-21.
The loss dropped Downers South's record to 14-4.
