The Westmont Historical Society is holding a unique bingo event on July 4 to raise money for the Westmont Park District’s Gregg House Museum.
Interested participants can purchase a deed, or a chance to win cash at Barnyard Bingo during the Westmont’s Fourth of July celebration, which will be held at 5 p.m. Saturday, July 4 at Ty Warner Park.
In Barnyard Bingo, players guess where the barnyard animal will “do his business” on the grid — if it plops in your square, you win up to $200. The animals are in a fenced in grass pen and the bingo grid is chalked into the grass. The animals are used as part of the petting zoo for the Fourth of July festival events. Animals include cows, llamas, pigs, goats and others.
This is the third year that the Westmont Historical Society is holding the event to raise funds for the Gregg House Museum.
Deed squares are $5 each and can be purchased at the Westmont Park District, 75 E. Richmond Street, or the Gregg House Museum, 117 S. Linden Ave. Deeds that are not sold before July 4 will be available for purchase on the day of the event.
