Melissa Leann Blades and Edward John Kornfeind were married June 14, 2008, in Hanley Road Baptist Church in Clayton, Mo. The bride is the daughter of Michael and Joyce Blades of Marion, Ill. The groom is the son of Edward and Joann Kornfeind of Downers Grove.
Melissa chose Lisa Odum as her matron of honor. The bridesmaids were Lorie Eigenrauch and Julie Kornfeind. Kaleigh and Kelsey Cook were the flower girls.
Edward chose Jason Shetler as his best man. The groomsmen were Derrick Compton and Zach Odum.
The bride earned a bachelor’s degree in business management from Southern Illinois University in 2005. She is employed as a sales manager at Four Seasons Hotel in St. Louis. The groom is a graduate of Downers Grove South High School. He earned a bachelor’s degree in computer information systems from Southern Illinois University in 2004. He is employed as a project manager at Accenture in St. Louis.
The couple traveled to Hawaii during their honeymoon.
