Walter and Carol Carlquist of Downers Grove celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary Sept. 27, 2008, with a dinner celebration at River Forest Country Club with their entire family and the Rev. Leonard Sukut, who performed the wedding ceremony 50 years ago. The couple was married Sept. 27, 1958, at the Evangelical United Brethren Church in Downers Grove.
The Carlquists have four children, David, Daniel, Donald and Denise; and 12 grandchildren.
