Nazareth Academy's football team enjoyed a Saturday stroll as it blew out Clark 51-6 in its season opener in La Grange Park.
The Roadrunners scored 16 points in the first quarter and added four touchdowns in the second quarter in building a 44-0 halftime lead. La Steven McKinney scored three touchdowns, with Matt Eraci adding two touchdowns. Mike Williams added two sacks and two fumble recoveries, as well.
The Nazareth (1-0) defense held Clark (0-1) to minus-69 yards until the six minute mark of the fourth quarter. The Eagles went on a 76-yard drive to close out the game, scoring with 32.1 seconds to go. Nazareth outgained Clark by a 161-7 margin.
