• The Pleasantdale Garden Club will meet at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 10, at the Pleasantdale Park District Building, 7425 S. Wolf Road, Burr Ridge. Lou Horton, president of Northern Illinois Hosta Society will lecture on “Hostas: America’s favorite perennial.” There will be a lecture and slide show illustrating the many reasons hostas are the country’s top selling perennial.
