Anniversary: Millers celebrate their 50th

Shirley and Edison Miller of Countryside celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary Sept. 20, 2008, with a surprise dinner party at Buca di Beppo in Lombard. The couple was married Sept. 20, 1958, at Chicago Temple in Chicago.
Shirley works as a part-time clerical worker and sales associate for Schoens of Hinsdale. She has worked for three different Schoens stores for 29 years. Edison worked as a custodian for Ogden Avenue School for School District 102 in La Grange. He worked there for 20 years and retired in May 2005.
The Millers have four children, Paula (Rich) Bucar, Eddie (Darlene Neff), Shawn and Les (Cindy); five grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
