Another night’s performance has been added for the play “Kita Y Fernanda,” on stage at the 16th Street Theater through Saturday.
The additional performance is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. Wednesday. Public policy analyst Sylvia Puente is scheduled to speak during a post-show panel discussion after the 7:30 p.m. performance Thursday. Puente is the director of the Center for Metropolitan Chicago Initiatives for the Institute for Latino Studies at the University of Notre Dame. She directed the study “Bordering the Mainstream” on the needs of the Latino population in Berwyn and Cicero.
The 16th Street Theater is at the Berwyn Cultural Center, 6420 16th St. Tickets may be purchased online at www.16thstreettheater.org, and in person at the North Berwyn Park District, 1619 Wesley Ave.

“Kita Y Fernanda” portrays class, immigration and women’s friendships, following the lives of two girls growing up in the same household. One is the privileged daughter of a rich Mexican family living in Texas, the other is the daughter of an undocumented maid.
