The Wildcats boys cross country team finished second at the 12-team Bartlett invitational Saturday with an average speed of 16:28.7 after Schaumburg’s 15:59.7.
Gunnar Sterne led the way for West Chicago with a time of 15:54.7 and a fourth place finish. Behind him was the team pack of Derrik Pietrobon, Mike Russo and Brent Smith, finishing 16th, 17th and 18th, respectively.
