OUTLOOK
The Private School League traditionally is dominated by Walther Lutheran and Chicago Christian. But something changed in 2007 when Aurora Christian head coach Don Beebe led the Eagles to a conference championship (6-0) and an overall record of 12-1.

This season, expect the same three top teams to battling it out for the top spot in the PSL. And don’t be surprised if Wheaton Academy improves on last season’s fifth-place tie by finishing fourth in the league. The Warriors are in their second season with a varsity program after a 20-plus year hiatus. Wheaton Academy likely will be tangling with Rockford Christian Life while Luther North and Luther South will be trying to stay out of the bottom of the league.
