Girls soccer
After back-to-back shutout losses, the Warriors responded with a 3-0-1 stretch that ended with a 1-1 tie Saturday at Wisconsin Rapids (Wis.) High School.
Wheaton Academy (8-3-1) got a goal from Jenn Lee (Leah Fortune assist) in the 28th minute and nearly held on for the win before the hosts tallied the equalizer with less than four minutes to go.
Friday, the Warriors led 4-0 at the half en route to a 5-0 rout of West Bend (Wis.) East.
Alexa Sharkey and Fortune (two assists) each had two goals while Lee tallied a goal and an assist.
Emily Mulder made eight saves for the shutout.
Baseball
The Warriors dropped both ends of a Saturday doubleheader at Private School League foe Walther Lutheran, 8-5 and 3-2.
A squeeze bunt won the second game for the Broncos (9-6, 4-1) while Wheaton Academy (4-4-1, 2-2) managed just one earned run in Game One.
Softball
Wheaton Academy ended its eight-game winless streak Saturday with a 15-3 rout of Lake Forest Academy to finish in seventh place at the Chicagoland Classic in Elgin.
The Warriors (3-8-1) lost their tournament opener, 10-0 to Illiana Christian and then fell to IMSA, 7-2, in consolation play.
