Man arrested for cocaine possession

Alonso Barrera, 24, of West Chicago, was arrested for possession of cocaine, a signal violation and driving without a valid driver’s license near the intersection of Wilson Street and Route 59 at about 5:10 p.m. Sept. 15, police said.

Man arrested for battery

Jaime V. Vences, 35, of West Chicago, was arrested on two counts of domestic battery and an outstanding drunk driving warrant on the 1200 block of Kings Cross at about 9:30 p.m. Sept. 15, police said.

iPod stolen

A black iPod was stolen out a 1998 Chrysler minivan parked on the 100 block of Joliet Street some time between 3:30 p.m. and 4:45 p.m. Sept. 13, police said.

Man arrested for paraphernalia

Erick Gonzalez, 20, of Warrenville, was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia and resisting arrest on the 400 block of Church Street at about 3:30 p.m. Sept. 12, police said.

Man arrested on four charges

Christian Salazar, 20, of West Chicago, was arrested for two counts of battery, one count of resisting arrest and one count of underage drinking on the 400 block of Church Street at about 9:15 p.m. Sept. 12, police said.

DUI arrests

Kim Sylvest, 53, of Aurora, was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol, speeding and possession of marijuana near the intersection of Route 59 and Forest Avenue at about 2 a.m. Sept. 10, police said.

German Paleta-Ramirez, 27, of Aurora, was arrested for driving under the influence, speeding and improper lane usage near the intersection of Route 59 and Conde Street at about 3:40 a.m. Sept. 9, police said.

John Johnson, 22, of Schaumburg, was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol, illegal transportation of alcohol and improper lane usage near the intersection of Route 59 and Diversey Parkway at about 9 p.m. Sept. 9, police said.

Drug possession alleged

Andrew Hamm, 20, of West Chicago, was arrested for possession of marijuana and harassment by telephone on the 400 block of Conde Street at about 1:45 p.m. Sept. 10, police said.
