The DuPage County Health Department on Wednesday will celebrate the reopening of a West Chicago group home that houses eight mental health services patients.
The home at 142 Wood St. was badly damaged in a fire last September. There will be a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 5 p.m.
Expected to attend are West Chicago Mayor Michael Kwasman; Fire Chief Ron Ackerman; County Board member Linda Kurzawa, R-6th District, of Winfield, president of the county Board of Health; and County Board members Jim Zay, R-6th District, of Carol Stream; and Pamela Rion, R-6th District, of Bloomingdale.
